Probe of the Month: October 2005

This is a custom hub (part number QMM-05223) with eight M5 tapped holes equally spaced and tilted at 45 degrees. There's a center hole for an additional stylus to point straight down. We made it from 6061-T6 aluminum. It's used to measure radial features on a part. Our client ordered four with the holes at 45 degrees (as shown), and four more with holes at 30 degrees. They weigh 65 grams each, not including the styli.
