Probe of the Month: December 2005

We manufactured these disk probes in 2002 for a client in Georgia. They were returned to us recently for repair and cleaning. The disks are 1-1/2" diameter by 0.024" thick - about the thickness of a thumbnail. The disks are made of hardened steel and mounted on 3.5 mm diameter ceramic shafts with M4 threaded stainless bases. They are 100 mm long overall and weigh just 12 grams each. They cost $335.00 each with a 2-3 week lead time (Q-Mark part number QMM-02305). They've been in use for 3 years and counting.
