About Q-Mark

Hello, I'm Mark Osterstock, founder and president of Q-Mark. During high school and college I apprenticed as a tool & die maker.

After several years of aerospace machining experience, I was persuaded to leave the shop floor for a career in machine tool sales. I sold my first coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in 1982.

Past

Back then, a few overseas firms dominated the CMM tooling market. North American CMM users were dissatisfied with their high prices and long delivery times. They needed a local manufacturer that would provide next-day service. Q-Mark was born in my home garage in 1992.

Present

Today, Q-Mark has 9 very talented employees and occupies 4 units in a modern industrial park. We own and operate several state-of-the-art CNC machine tools and a Zeiss CMM. We design and build our own proprietary assembly equipment.

Recently, we were awarded a US patent for our drilled silicon nitride ball CMM styli.

In addition to our catalog products, every year we design and manufacture hundreds of custom products to our clients' specifications. A different one is featured each month on our exclusive Probe of the Month TM web page. Our day begins by filling orders received overnight. The parts are assembled, inspected, packaged, and shipped by 3:00 PM for next-day delivery.

Future

Q-Mark will always be a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative tools for precision measurement. We will constantly develop new products and services. Satisfied Q-Mark clients are our primary source for new product ideas. Thanks to them, our future is bright.
